NRL (U.S. DOE) EV Charging & Alternative Fuel Station Locations

Complete registry of alternative fuel stations in the US and Canada, dominated by EV charging infrastructure (200,000+ charging ports). Each row is a station with name, geocoded location (lat/lon), street address, open date, network operator (Tesla, ChargePoint, Electrify America, etc.), charging levels (L1/L2/DC fast) with port counts, connector types, access type (public/private), pricing notes, and operational status. Other alternative fuels (E85, CNG, LNG, propane, biodiesel, hydrogen, renewable diesel) are included and filterable via fuel_type_code. Delivered as monthly full snapshots keyed by snapshot_period, enabling panel analyses of charging-network buildout, station churn, and network transitions over time.

Licensing and redistribution. The station data is provided by the National Laboratory of the Rockies (NLR, formerly NREL; renamed December 2025), operated by the Alliance for Energy Innovation, LLC for the U.S. Department of Energy, under terms stating the data "may be used for any purpose whatsoever" (developer.nlr.gov/terms). The data is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, and the names DOE, NLR, and Alliance may not be used to endorse or promote any entity that uses the data.
