U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention CDC PLACES (Census Tract)

Health and behavioral measures estimated at the Census Tract grain. Tract FIPS is the 11-character state(2) + county(3) + tract(6) identifier — a clean prefix of the 12-character block-group GEOID used by the `DEWEYDATA.CENSUS.ACS5_*_BG` datasets, so PLACES joins to ACS via `SUBSTR(acs.geoid, 1, 11) = places.tractfips`. ~83.5K rows per release covering all 50 states, DC, and Puerto Rico tracts.

CDC publishes PLACES in the public domain (the dataset's license field on data.cdc.gov reads "Public Domain"; CDC's general policy states most CDC material "is not subject to copyright, is in the public domain, and may be freely used or reproduced without obtaining copyright permission").
