TenderAlpha US Terminated Contracts

Description

Transaction-level records of terminated US federal procurement contracts from January 2010 to present: approximately 611,000 distinct termination transactions across roughly 47,000 direct awardee companies; about 1,400 firms — direct awardees or their corporate parents — are ticker-mapped, publicly listed companies. Each record pairs the termination event — termination type, dispatch date, and the USD obligation adjustment recorded at termination (negative values are deobligations) — with the contract's initial award: initial dispatch date, value of contract to date, potential value, and the scheduled contract end date at both award and termination. Records identify the contracting federal entity, the direct awardee, and the awardee's corporate parent, each with name, country, listing status, ticker symbol, stock exchange, and ISIN where applicable, alongside tender industry codes, title, and description. The ticker mapping supports event-study designs linking terminations to market outcomes, and the long panel supports research on procurement failure, contract renegotiation, and differences in contracting reliability across agencies and sectors.
