Can I share the data with other researchers?

Not unless they are included in your team or group license. This helps us keep the data affordable for academic use. You can read more about the data license in our terms and conditions.

What happens when I unsubscribe?

When you cancel your subscription, you'll be downgraded to the Starter account and no longer have access to the features or updates available on the subscriber accounts. You'll also no longer be able to download premium datasets from the platform. If your paper has been accepted for publication, you may qualify for post-term use of the data for that paper, but all other copies of the data must be deleted. You can read more about terminating your subscription and the impact that has on your ability to use the data in our terms and conditions. Does the subscription provide historical data?

Yes. Once you are subscribed, you'll receive unlimited access to the available datasets. This includes a full history and access to new updates as we receive them. You can view this community post to see the latest data partners that are included with a Dewey subscription.

Does Dewey offer support?

Yes. We direct all data-related questions to the Dewey community. Here you can search for previously asked questions, find partner-specific discussions, share resources, and collaborate with others. The community only works with your participation! So please share any helpful content or answer questions from other users.

Does Dewey provide university-wide licenses?

Yes. If you're a librarian responsible for university-wide data licensing or are curious if your university is already subscribed, use the demo request page to get in touch.

What if I'm the only co-author working with the data?

We still require the entire research team to be covered by a team license. After ordering the Research Group option, we'll reach out to get the names and emails of the other team members and add them to the account.

What should I do if my research team changes?

Email info@deweydata.io with any changes to the research team. Please do this before granting them access to our data. We create accounts Dewey accounts for each covered researcher, so they agree to our terms and conditions.

Do I need to pay with a credit card?

Get in touch if you need a purchase order, invoice, or ACH transfer instructions.

Does my research paper need approval from Dewey or their data partners?

No. But we love when when you share your paper (even if it's just a working paper) so that we can help promote it and share it with our data partners.

What happens if my university group subscribes after I've already subscribed?

If you've subscribed to Dewey and then a group you're a member of also subscribes within the next 3 months, we'll provide a full refund of your individual subscription.
