Research from Chapman University, Stanford University, and MIT evaluates the trade-off between economic value and COVID transmission risk to different locations organized by type, time, and geography

Using surveys, government statistics, and SafeGraph data, Seth and his team from Chapman University were able to evaluate the trade-off between economic value and COVID transmission risk to different locations organized by type, time, and geography. Their original work makes recommendations to governments and businesses based on their findings, and in a follow up paper they evaluate how well the US has rationed social contact to high bang-for-buck interactions.
